The Best Story Ever Told

Balthazar: Hello friends my name is Balthazar.
I happed to have seen a most marvelous gift to the world many,
many, many years ago. This miraculous thing changed the world,
and the fate of every living person to date.
So Today I would like to tell you that story.
The Best Story every told.
Cast comes out and sing:
Now is the time, Christmas is here.
This is a story filled with hope and love.
Not just a tale, told every year.
But this is a story God want us to share
Oh oh don’t you know, the best story
Every told, never ever gets too old,
And they tell it over, and over, and it’s true
It all happened just for you, for God loves us
Through, and through, and we tell it over and over
Again.

Balthazar: Now it so happened a long time ago that Caesar made a decree
Which all men in his kingdom must Obey.
Caesar: More Wine! I said More Wine! I have a decree to make!
Soldier 1: Yes sir what would you like us to do?
Caesar: I want every citizen from all corners of my kingdom
To return to their place of birth in which they shall be taxed
Soldier 2: What if they live far away sire?
Caesar: Then they better leave early now shouldn’t they. Now be off with you!
Balthazar: So Joseph also got ready went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him. They soon found out that Mary was pregnant and they were afraid. But one day the angel of the lord visited Mary in a dream in which he told her great news!
Gabriel: Mary do not be afraid I am sent to you by God
Mary: Oh My!
Gabriel: Rejoice for God has blessed you. The child in your womb is the one who shall save your people. You shall call him EMMANUEL!
Gabriel sings plus others:
Oh oh what shall we call this baby,
We will call him Jesus.
What shall we call this baby
We will call him Jesus
He will save his people from their sins
He will open up the temple to let us in
Call him wonderful, marvelous, King of Kings
Prince of Peace. Tell me what you gonna call
That baby We will call him JESUS!
Balthazar: Well the angel also visited Joseph and told him the great news.
Gabriel: I am the angel of God sent to give you good new

Joseph: Please let the messenger of God speak I shall hear.
Gabriel: The baby that is inside Mary is not an ordinary child
He is the son of God and the messiah. His name shall be Jesus.
Joseph: it shall be so.
Joseph sings a solo
What child is this
That came into my life
To stir up happiness
Amidst all the strife
What child is this
Who wipes all my tears
And when He is close
Conquers my fears
What child grows older
But keeps getting better
What child is this
That breaks every fetter
What child is this
Grown into a man
Who makes me say
"With Him all things I can"
He gave up His life
A great child indeed
He died on the cross
So I could be freed
What child is this
That from this world should part
He is the child
That still lives in my heart
What child is this
Why it's Jesus, God's lamb
And I can say with great faith

Balthazar: So Mary and Joseph began their travels to Bethlehem .
It was a tough journey but they made it to Bethlehem, but when
They got there it was time for the Baby to be born.
Joseph: Excuse me we need a room please?
Innkeeper: Sorry no rooms.
Joseph sighs
Mary: Don’t worry lets try the next one.
Joseph Knocks
Joseph: We need a room please?
Innkeeper: Sorry no rooms.
Joseph: Please put us anywhere my wife is expecting a child.
Innkeeper: A child huh?
Innkeeper scratch chin
Innkeeper: Well I have a stable around back you are welcome to use it.
Mary: Thank you.
Balthazar: And so the two went in the stable, and not long after a baby was born.
Now when he was born a great big star appeared over the stable and this caught the attention of three wise kings one of which was yours truly. Caspar saw the star first then Melchior found the prophecy while I gather my gift for our baby king. At the same time the angels were so excited that they went to the field where shepherds watched over their flock by night.

Shepherd 1: It’s cold tonight so how’s your household?
Shepherd 2: Just fine my little boy a little sick but nothing serious.
Bright light then Gabriel appeared
Shepherd 1: What is this?
Shepherd 2: I am afraid! (shakes and bow)
Gabriel: Do not be afraid I have come with great news.
Everyone Sings
On a very noisy night shepherd
got an awful fright.
Shepherd in their field so early
was surrounded by Gods
Glory The light was bright as the sun
the shepherds wanted to run on a very noisy night
Gabriel Solo
The angel said: Don’t be afraid
Christ is born you have it made
The baby in a stable now that’s great news
But that’s not all I feel a praise song coming on
A angel can’t hold on for long on a very noisy night
Oh Gloria in excelsi deao Gloria, Gloria in excelsi deao
Gloria, Gloria, Gloria.
